one of the cheapest ways to get around ho chi minh is the xe ôm, which are motorbikes for hire. unlike regular taxi cabs, the xe ôm are unregulated so you’re smart to negotiate a fare before climbing on.

arguably the most popular bike in the world, the honda cub and its brethren have a solid showing in ho chi minh city. this is perhaps the cleanest one on the street.

in a city where narrow buildings are packed in tightly and the streets are overrun with swarms of buzzing motorbikes, this spaghetti monster of power lines is par for the course. i love you saigon.
